General Notary

What do I need to bring to the signing?

Only a few things! The first is the documents needing notarized. If doing an online signing you will send these in prior to the signing. The second is an acceptable form of ID. Refer to the "What forms of ID can I use" FAQ for a complete list. The same applies to any witness who may accompany you.

What forms of ID can I use?

  • US State Issued Driver’s License

  • US State Issued Photo ID

  • US Passport Book

  • Certificate of US citizenship

  • Certificate of Naturalization

  • Foreign Passport

  • Alien Registration Card W/ Photo

  • Military ID

How long does a signing take?

While it can widely depend on the specific signing, most sessions will last 10-15 minutes for 1-2 signatures.

Remote Online Notarization

What is Remote Online Notarization?

Its the same notary signings that occur in person, but virtually! The signing will take place over an online platform utilizing audio and visual technology.

Is Online Notarization safe and secure?

Of course! The platform is used by multiple enterprise corporations and thousands of people daily. It utilizes many security and verification features to ensure that those signing are who they claim and to keep signed documents secure.

How am I verified with my ID online?

You will create a profile and upload your photo ID to the platform prior to the signing. You will enter some basic information and then go through five public information questions randomly generated to verify you. The setup process take 5-10 minutes.

Where can I be when attending a session?

Anywhere! A notarization that is signed online is valid anywhere in the United States

Is this the same as in person?

Yes! Online notarizations are considered the same as in person notarizations.
